About
Experience. Knowledge. Results.
Advancing Safety Compliance, LLC is an electrical safety inspection, compliance and repair firm based in Spartanburg, South Carolina, founded by Brian McKee — a licensed Master Electrician with 25 years in commercial, industrial and healthcare electrical work.
Background
From installing it to inspecting it
Brian started in the trade in 2000, installing and troubleshooting transformers, switchgear, generators and distribution equipment across commercial and industrial sites, and serving as the on-site safety lead: interpreting drawings and code specifications and running OSHA training for crews.
In the early 2010s he project-managed electrical work on robotics and machine-level restorations at Chrysler in Warren, Michigan, where root-cause analysis and preventive maintenance were the job and downtime carried a direct production cost.
In the Carolinas he ran construction and renovation projects covering estimating, permitting, scheduling, safety oversight and inspection, including more than 2,000 LED fixtures at North Carolina State University.
From 2022 he served at Duke University Hospital as a certified electrician and special projects team lead, responsible for switchgear, automatic transfer switches, paralleling gear and emergency generators tested and documented to Joint Commission requirements. That is the foundation of the firm's healthcare work.
Installing and managing electrical work, then operating and documenting it inside a regulated facility, is what shapes how an inspection gets scoped and how a finding gets written.
